Kathmandu- The Ministry of Health and Population has completed 84 per cent contact tracing of people who may have come in contact with the COVID-19 infected people.
At a press conference organised here on Wednesday, Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr Bikas Devkota shared that 84 per cent tracing of members and friends of COVID-19 infected people had been completed.
He said that sample of 12 members of coronavirus infected people, undergoing treatment at Dhangadhi-based Sudur Paschim State Hospital, has been collected and report in this regard is still awaited.
Similarly, report of family members of other infected people for coronavirus infection showed negative. Two COVID-19 infected people are receiving treatment at Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital and another one in Baglung.
Dr Devkota said that a total of 1,133 people underwent coronavirus test so far.
He further said that sample of 12 people suffering from fever and cough on the basis of possible symptoms would be tested.
